Tips & Tricks

  • Adjust Text Size: Use the Text Size setting to change the size of the text to suit your reading comfort. This is especially helpful for users with visual or reading impairments.
  • Change Text Style: Experiment with different text styles to find one that is easiest to read. This is helpful for users with visual impairment, dyslexia or other reading difficulties.
  • High Contrast Colors: If you have difficulty reading the text, consider using different Themes. The Dark theme is designed to reduce eye strain in low-light environments. Blue and Yellow themes are high contrast options that can improve readability for some low vision users.
  • Use Speech: If you prefer to listen to the text rather than read it, enable the speech feature in the Settings menu. This can help with comprehension and retention even if the user can read the text on screen.
  • Zoom in or out: During Study and Test modes, you can quickly change the text size using pinch gestures on touchscreens or Ctrl + Plus/Minus keys on keyboards. The text size here is dynamic and goes beyond the Text Size setting. This is helpful for reading long text passages or quickly zooming in to specific content.
  • Mobile Friendly: Quick Cards is designed to work well on both desktop and mobile devices. On mobile or tablet devices, try both landscape and portrait mode to see which works best for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What font size is each Text Size setting?
Accessibyte uses a unique text scaling system that simplifies and automates text size to fit your device's screen size and resolution. Both in Study and Test mode, zooming in will change the readable text size without disrupting the screen button layout or menus when you return to the main interface.
What voices are available?
