Importing Quick Card decks and tests with Share Codes

Share Codes are an easy way to share custom content between teachers. Any custom Typio or Quick Cards content you create can be exported to a Share Code, which can then be imported by another teacher. You can share these codes in any way, such as email, social media, etc.

This article details how to manage Share Codes for Quick Cards flashcards or tests.

Share Codes for a Single Student

Creating Lessons via Share Codes

  1.  Click Students List on the left sidebar.
  2.  Find the desired student and click the Overview link next to their name.
  3.  Click the Quick Cards tab.
  4.  Scroll down to the Flashcard Decks or Tests section of the page.
  5.  Click the dropdown on the Create New button.
  6. Click Import from Share Code.
  7. Paste the Share Code, then click Import Deck.

Exporting lessons via Share Codes

  1.  Click Students List on the left sidebar.
  2.  Find the desired student and click the Overview link next to their name.
  3.  Click the Quick Cards tab.
  4.  Scroll down to the Flashcard Decks or Tests section of the page.
  5.  Cick the Edit button next to the desired deck or test.
  6. Click the dropdown on the Save button.
  7. Click Export to Share Code.
  8. Copy the Share Code. This is what others will paste when following the importing steps above.

Share Codes for Multiple Students

Creating lessons to be shared with multiple students via Share Codes

  1. Log in to your Teacher Dashboard.
  2.  Click the Quick Cards Docs sidebar link.
  3.  Under either the Deck or Test headings, click the dropdown on the Create New button.
  4.  Click Import from Share Code.
  5.  Paste your code.
  6.  Click the Import or Save button.

Sharing lessons with students

  1. After following the steps above to create a lesson via Share Code, click the Quick Cards Docs sidebar link.
  2. Under either the Deck or Test headings, click the checkbox next to the lesson you’d like to share.
  3. Under the Share With heading, select the student(s) who will receive the lesson
  4. Click the Share button. Those students now have the lessons you selected.

Exporting your custom lessons via Share Code

  1. Log in to your Teacher Dashboard.
  2.  Click the Quick Cards Docs sidebar link.
  3.  Under either the Deck or Test headings, click the Edit button next to the desired deck or test.
  4. Click the dropdown on the Save button.
  5. Click Export to Share Code.
  6. Copy the Share Code. This is what others will paste when following the importing steps above
